What If You Always Knew Where Your Assets Were?

Every minute your team spends asking “Where is it?” is time pulled away from production, delivery, and customers. This delays jobs, wastes labor, and drive-ups costs. GY6Trac gives manufacturing, fabrication, and other asset-intensive operations a simpler way to know where assets are. It provides day-one visibility anywhere in the world, without Wi-Fi, new infrastructure, or manual scanning.

The Hidden Cost of Lost Assets in Manufacturing

A fabrication shop had a job ready to move, a driver waiting, and a crew standing by for a material bundle that should have been staged in the yard.

Everyone knew it had arrived. No one knew exactly where it was. For the next hour, people searched rows, checked notes, called around, and retraced movement through the facility. The asset was eventually found, but not before labor was wasted, the schedule slipped, the customer waited, and the team lost time it could not get back.

That scenario is familiar across fabrication, manufacturing, warehouse, yard, and job site operations. When a trailer, tool, inventory item, or critical material cannot be located quickly, the cost is bigger than search time.

Work slows. Handoffs get missed. Drivers wait. Teams buy unneeded replacements. Customers feel the delay.

The problem is not that teams are careless. Many operations still rely on memory, spreadsheets, radio calls, walk-throughs, or systems built for controlled indoor environments. Those methods break down when assets move through yards, gates, partner locations, job sites, and anywhere in between.

How RFID Asset Tracking Works Without Additional Infrastructure

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) asset tracking uses electronic tags and readers to automatically identify and record tagged assets as they move through an operation.

GY6Trac combines RFID, GPS, cellular connectivity, and cloud-based software to provide real-time visibility without Wi-Fi, wiring, new infrastructure, or manual scanning.

The process is simple: Tag it. Read it. Track it. See it.

Serialized RFID tags are attached to key assets. Fixed and mobile GY6Trac readers automatically capture location data during normal operations. Multi-carrier cellular connectivity sends data to the cloud, where teams can view current location and history through the browser-based platform. Readers can be placed at gates and facilities or mounted on forklifts, utility vehicles, and other mobile equipment.

GY6Trac helps teams locate materials, inventory, trailers, tools, equipment, finished goods, and assets across facilities, warehouses, yards, job sites, and beyond.

Day-One Asset Visibility That Grows With Your Operation

Operations can start small at one site and scale as needs grow.

GY6Trac operates as a standalone asset tracking solution without connecting to a customer’s existing IT network. An Application Programming Interface (API) is also available for integration with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
This allows organizations to incorporate asset visibility into existing workflows without requiring a major infrastructure investment.

For fabrication and manufacturing leaders, the outcome is straightforward: fewer blind spots, less searching, better handoffs, stronger accountability, and the information teams need to keep work moving.

Stop searching. Start knowing.

GY6Trac is a product of GY6 Systems LLC, a veteran-owned and operated company. “GY6” comes from “Got Your Six,” meaning “we’ve got your back.”
That is exactly what GY6Trac was built to do: cover the blind spots so your team can stop searching and start knowing.
